Mechanics of Time Dependent Materials Conference
May 17th-20th 2016
Arts et Métiers ParisTech, Ecole Polytechnique, Mines ParisTech and Pierre et Marie Curie University are happy to welcome the 10th International Conference on Mechanics of Time-Dependent Materials (MTDM 2016).
The conference will be held from May 17th to May 20th at Arts et Métiers ParisTech in Paris, France, following the last conferences in Monterey (USA) in 2008, in Portoroz (Slovenia) in 2010, in Kanazawa (Japan) in 2012 and in Montreal (Canada) in 2014.
Aim and Scope
This conference is aiming to promote exchanges between researchers of various disciplinary fields dealing with time-dependent behaviors of materials so as to generate new ideas and new approaches. The conference will deal with the time-dependent mechanical properties of solid polymers, living and biomaterials, asphalts, wood, metals, ceramics, concrete and their composites including colloids. Contributions will address, among others, fundamental modeling and experimental aspects for melt-to-solid transition in processing, time-dependent damage and fracture phenomena, transport properties and microstructural evolutions
The conference will be structured into several symposia, following the format of three parallel sessions. Plenary lectures addressing various types of materials will be carried out by outstanding researchers.
